National Film Awards are the most prominent award in the Indian Film Industry. It was established in the year 1954. The Government of India started the ceremony to honour films and people for the films across India.
On a national scale, to encourage the furthering of Indian art and culture. Since 1973, the Indian Directorate of Film Festivals administers the ceremony along with other major film events in India annually.
The 67th National Film Awards were announced on 22 March 2021. Here is the list of:

National Film Awards: Selection Process
The Directorate of Film Festivals invited online entries, and the acceptable last date for entries was until 17 February 2020.
Feature and Non-Feature Films certified by the Central Board of Film Certification between 1 January 2019, and 31 December 2019, were eligible for the film award categories.
Books, critical studies, reviews or articles on cinema published in Indian newspapers, magazines, and journals. Between 1 January 2019, and 31 December 2019, were eligible for the best writing on the cinema section.

Entries of dubbed, revised or copied versions of a film or translation, abridgements, edited or annotated works and reprints were ineligible for the awards.
For the Feature and Non-Feature Films sections, films in any Indian language shot on 16 mm, 35 mm, a wider film gauge or a digital format, and released in cinemas, on video or digital formats for home viewing were eligible.
Films were required to be certified as a feature film, a featurette or a Documentary/Newsreel/Non-Fiction by the Central Board of Film Certification.

National Film Awards: Jury
The list of juries for Best Friendly Film State is Shaji N Karun (Chairperson), Manju Borah, Ravi Kottarakara, Firdausul Hasan and Abhishek Shah who have selected the final awardees. Apart from this list, each zone had its list of juries for the selection process.

National Film Awards: Prize Money
Each category has prize money. Best Film and Director has a cash prize of INR 2.5 lacs while various actors (male and female) have prize money of INR 50k. Some category has the only certificate.
These awards were to be held in May 2020, but because of the pandemic, they shifted it to March 2021.

Dhanush wrote on his social media and thanked his family and fans, saying he ‘never imagined’ he would make it this far, “I woke up to this amazing news of being honoured with the prestigious national award for ASURAN.
To win one best actor award is a dream, to win Two is nothing short of a blessing. I never imagined I would come this far.”
Manoj Bajpayee said, “I think, this is not an award for me but for all of those guys who backed the film. Bhonsle completed its journey with this National Award, I am only feeling thankful and nothing else,”

Late Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s film Chhichhore has won a National Award, and the director said, “I feel so honoured and humbled. And I am very happy with my team. Everyone had put their heart in soul into the film.
There is a sense of happiness in the team as well as sadness. But all of us are sure that Sushant is smiling somewhere up there and sending us his love and hugs.”
