the boAT is the brainchild of Mr. Aman Gupta and Mr. Sameer Mehta. This venture was started in 2016. This venture was operated out of café Social in New Delhi.
He was working with an audio giant called Harman, probably it was at that time that Aman Gupta got the idea for selling trendy audio products online.

The boat started selling “Trendy Audio Products”. At that time Indian market already had 200 brands. Apple users faced the problem of cables breaking at the end of the charger and the users had to cover it up.
Thus, the first ever product made by Boats was an Apple charger and cable. These cables were indestructible.
This product was the best seller on Amazon. In the past few years, Boat started selling headphones, speakers, earphones, rugged cables, and travel chargers. The revenue generated was INR 100 crore in home sales.
The largest investor in boAT is Warbur Pincus, a US-based private company. The company holds almost 30% stakes in the company.
The other investors of boAT are Qualcomm Ventures and Fireside Ventures. Both companies hold stakes but less than 5%.
