Full Coverage on FIFA World Cup 2022 has been strarted, the most favourite and cherished game of the world is Football. Half of the world is drenched in the FIFA fever. All the major outlets start various discounts and offers during the FIFA season.

FIFA World Cup is football tournament play by men’s national teams of FIFA’s membership association.

The 22ns FIFA World Cup is being played from 20th November 2022 till 18th December 2022 in Qatar. This is the first ever world cup which is hosted by an Arab country as well as second held in Asian country after 2022 tournament in South Korea and Japan.

1. History Of FIFA World Cup 

In 20th century, the need for single body to oversee association football was apparent due to increasing popularity of international fixtures.

On 21st May 1904, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) was founded at the Rue Saint Honoré 229 which was the rear of headquarter of the Union des Sociétés Françaises de Sports Athlétiques (USFSA).

The first tournament of FIFA was much more successful. Membership of FIFA went beyond seas with application from South Africa in 1909, Argentina in 1912, Canada and Chile in 1913, and the United States in 1914.

During WWI, many players were sent for war. Post war, Dutchman Carl Hirschmann run the organisation after the death of Woolfall. National Football Museum at Urbis in Manchester, England holds the National Football Museum. In 1930, the first World Cup was held in Montevideo, Uruguay.

FIFA 2022 is the last tournament with 32 participating teams. In 2026 FIFAL World Cup 48 teams will fight for the trophy. This Qatar World Cup is with reduced time frame of 29 days to play 64 matches. The matches shall be played at eight venues across five cities.

The host country could enter the tournament automatically. The remaining 31 teams were selected through qualification process. Qatar lost all the three-group match. It was the first host to lose every game to be earliest eliminated host nation and the second host country to progress past first stage.

The teams competed in eight round – robin groups of four teams for points are played in the first round of the tournament finals. 

The top two teams in each group proceed to the further stage. After these, the 16 teams will enter to the knockout stage. Each team will play three rounds of play to decide the team to participate in the final which will be held on 18th December 2022 at Lusail Stadium. It is also the Qatar National day.

He has co – managed Argentina at the age of 27 in 1930. The oldest manager was Otto Rehhagel. He has taken charge of Greece as manager at age of 71 in 2010.
