Malik Movie Review: Narrative of Malik Movie
Ali Sulaiman Malik who is also known as Ali Ikka and a suburb of Ramadapally plans to visit the holy Hajj as his wife Roselyn urges him to abandon all his brutal acts.
Nevertheless, the Cops arrest him under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA).
Ali’s wife Roselyn is separated from her brother David who was a very good friend of Ali but now rebels against him. David’s son Freddy is imprisoned for launching bombs and now the Police require him to kill Ali.
When the police ordered Freddy to kill Ali, Ali’s mother met Freddy and told him the story of Ali and his father David. She said that earlier David and Ali were working for a small gangster, Chandran, and helped him with smuggling illegal weapons and drugs.
One day Chandran started a dispute and fired them from work, and then Ali started his own business of smuggling. Once a sub-collector Anwar visited Ali and was very impressed with his work and passion and said he could do anything for him.

Hearing this Ali asked Anwar Ali to build a school behind Mosque and this decision of Ali made him God in the eyes of the common people. Seeing all this, Chandran who wants to destroy Ali sets their godown on fire and 4 children die in this incident.
This made Ali very angry, and he killed Chandran and accepted his crime. After that, an arrest warrant is issued against Ali and later David, Ali and his wife Roselyn escaped to Minicoy.
After escaping to Minicoy, Ali who was in love with Roselyn, married her with David’s consent. Roselyn was a Christian woman and Ali didn’t want his kids to be anything except Muslim. He told Roselyn about this, and she agreed without any hesitation.
Meanwhile, Anwar successfully Manipulates David and makes Ali appear in the Court regarding Chandran’s death. Ali’s mother also states against Ali and he was imprisoned for 3 months.

When Ali was in jail, Roselyn gave birth to a boy and David decided to name him Anthony and performed his baptism without Ali’s approval. Meanwhile, Ali was discharged from imprisonment interrupted this Baptism procedure, and yelled at David.
Roselyn also supported her husband Ali, and they named their Child Ameer. This particular situation created hatred between Ali and David.
The police now want to manipulate David and arrest Ali to their advantage. Ali received a packet of his smuggled weapons one day and decided to hide it.
The 2004 earthquake in Ramadapally caused excessive loss of Christians, which made David and other politicians very angry.

David started a riot in Ramadapally, which led to a big fight between Christians and Muslims. In all this Ali’s child was killed and people got to know about Ali’s hidden weapon and they started a big matter. The goons attacked the police and also shot David in the legs.
Ali’s mother told all this to Freddy and requested him to not kill Ali and let the law decide. David however wanted his Son to take revenge and kill Ali. Freddy was shifted to the same cell with Ali and the next morning he decided to kill Ali.
Although Ali saved himself and told everything that how David was responsible for his child’s death. After hearing all this Freddy was stunned, and suddenly Ali collapsed on the ground. Freddy immediately called for help and the jail doctor arrived and killed Ali.

The doctor was Anwar’s daughter, who was desperate for revenge. While performing the last rites of Ali, Freddy interrupts the eulogizing speech.
In the last scene, Anwar reveals how the Ramadapally riots were not because of Christians and Muslims but because it was a pre-planned riot by police and politicians for their benefit.

The run time of the movie ‘Malik’ is 162 minutes, which is approximately two and a half hours.
Malik was released in the language of Malayalam with an estimated budget of twenty-seven crore. Mahesh Narayanan is the writer, editor, and director of Malik.
The film’s theatre announcement was delayed various times because of the coronavirus pandemic and later it was decided to release on digital platforms, i.e. Prime Video on 15 July 2021.

Malik Movie Review
Malik is an exceptionally well-directed and written film by Mahesh Narayanan. It describes India’s corrupt politics and their adverse effect on citizens.
The movie Malik is Produced by Anto Joseph starring Fahadh Faasil, Nimisha Sajayan, Vinay Forrt, Indrans, and Joju George.
Fahadh Faasil has done incredible work in Amazon Prime’s fabulous crime story.
The Movie Malik perfectly holds the attention of viewers through its intense action and drama. It sets an example for everyone who criticizes Malayalam cinema and shows its adventurous side.
Mahesh Narayanan’s films are different from other directors in terms of uniqueness and intensity. Mahesh is a gem of Malayalam cinema and his films create high expectations for audiences.

Even this time he lives up to the expectations and delivers an excellent crime saga. With a run time of about two and a half hours long, Malik revolves around the life of Sulaiman Ali played by Fahadh Faasil.
In the opening scene, Ali is arrested in the airport but he is a highly respected man in his community. He knows nobody can harm him.
Ali is considered the Godfather of Ramadapally and makes all the decisions there. Although Ali was involved in crime earlier, now he is a man of morals and discipline. His wife Roselyn always supports and trusts him.

Ali was intentionally accused of a crime so that he doesn’t interrupt politician’s illegal work. Ali’s act was for the welfare of his Ramadapally people rather than for his benefit.
Some other convenient takes, like blaming the police for almost the entire bloodshed, stop the film just short of soaring high. Sanu Varghese had done incredible work with the camera and Malik is assumed to be a hit on a large scale.
Malik has a rating of 3.5/5 and is streaming on Amazon Prime.
