On Monday, June 29, 2020. the government of India bans 59 Chinese apps including TikTok, WeChat, Helo, and others.
A statement released by the government of India that these mobile applications doing activities that are prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, the defense of India, and the security of the state and public order.
This action came when there was tension going on the line of actual control of India and China. There is much information on these mobile apps like they steal and misuse the data of the users. So, these mobile applications should not be allowed in India.
The Government of India bans 59 Chinese apps including TikTok, WeChat, and Helo
As per a general estimate, the earnings of these Chinese mobile applications were from India only. And mobile application TikTok already had announced that they were looking to earn 100 crores till September from India only.
The decision taken by the government of India is a huge step and this gives a big message to Chinese apps that India would not compromise on the level of security.
This is a major blow to the Chinese government also which was earning from these apps in the form of tax. This is a digital strike by India on China.
India had done a surgical strike in Pakistan by air on Balakot and by land on Terrorist camps in POK. On June 15, 2020, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred in Galwan Valley from here India decided to action against the Chinese presence in their lives.

Chinese Government Policy For Their Companies
China is continuously looking to expand its reach in the world through Cheap products, Easy loans, and One Belt and Road schemes.
China also wants India to be part of their new silk route, but the Indian government has refused to become a part of it.
Experts from all over the world have already warned that Chinese mobile apps steal users’ data and give it to the Chinese government.

Giant mobile manufacturing companies like Apple also have reported that the Chinese mobile application TikTok steals the data of users and gives it to the Chinese government due to the orders of the Chinese government. Chinese mobile applications took more authorization than other mobile applications.
These banned Chinese mobile applications take permission from users to access the user’s mic and camera. After authorizing these mobile apps your call conversation your phone data, videos, and your location were easily accessible to these Chinese mobile apps and all this was happening with your permission without your knowledge.

Chinese Government Law For Their Companies
As per the new Chinese government law, all these companies have to share their data with the government.
This is a clear indication that the data of your mobile phone were used by these Chinese governments.
This data can be easily accessible by them and can be used against the users without their knowledge. Data is like content this is the most valuable asset for any company or country.
The unethical expansion of China is a threat to countries like India and other developing countries.

Because China takes control of countries through policies first it gives huge loans, then these countries are bound by these loans, then China asks them to pay them back.
With this practice, china takes over these countries.
In the year, 2017 only 18 Chinese apps were on the top list of 100 apps, and in the year, 2018 the figure went up to 44 mobile apps among the top 100 mobile apps.
China is taking over the mobile app market rapidly. These mobile apps are not safe to use.

Banned 59 Chinese apps including TikTok, WeChat, and Helo
The most downloaded Chinese apps TikTok on top among the other mobile apps. This mobile application was developed by the Chinese company ByteDance. The number of downloads of these apps among Indians with more than 50 million.
Another most popular gaming mobile app PUBG controlled through Tencent, a Chinese company.
Another banned Chinese web browser app is UC Browser. This mobile app was on the no-2 spot in web browser apps after Google Chrome. This is owned by a Chinese company, Alibaba.
There is a banned social networking app Helo, with more than 4 million users in India alone. This mobile app is operated by ByteDance.
Indians also used a lot another banned Chinese app Shareit as a file-sharing app. There is another app Vigo used for file sharing app.

Cam Scanner is another banned Chinese app very popular for scanning documents and images. This app has over 100+ million users.
Chinese mobile apps dominate the mobile app market. Only Android occupied Chinese apps with 40% + applications downloads.
It is important to consider that other countries have already banned these mobile apps. In March 218 Australia banned WeChat. In January 2018 the United States Council informed that Chinese apps like Baidu running Chinese government propaganda.
Earlier in the year 2017 in December, the Indian government found the Chinese app Shareit very dangerous for security and privacy and advised security forces not to use this app.
In August 2017, the Chinese government admitted that Chinese apps like Weibo, WeChat, and Baidu are not safe for security reasons. Chinese machine mobile phones are not safe to use. It is a claim that Chinese mobile Xiaomi giving the data information to the Chinese government.
