Who is Indian Crickter Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Mahendra Singh Dhoni also called M.S. Dhoni. He is an Indian Cricketer culminating in his captaincy of the Indian Cricket team that won the one-day Cricket World Cup in 2011.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born in Ranchi, Jharkhand earlier it was part of Bihar. His paternal village “Lwali” is in the Lamgara block of Almora District of Uttarakhand.
Dhoni’s parents moved to Ranchi from Uttarakhand. There his father started working at MECON in a junior management position. Dhoni has a brother Nagendra Singh Dhoni and a sister Jayanti Gupta.

- Dhoni played at the school level and in club level cricket till 1998. Later he joined the Central Coal Fields Limited (CCL) team. His opportunities for first-class cricket opened when he impressed Deval Sahay, who was a former Association Vice-President of the Bihar Cricket Board.
- He could not qualify for the U-19 Rest of India squad for the 1998-99 session. But he was selected for CK Nayudu’s trophy for the next season. Due to his poor performance, his team finishes in the last position of the tournament.
- He debuted for Ranji Trophy from the Bihar Cricket team for the 1999-2000 season and he scored 68 not out in the second inning. Later he also scored his maiden century against the Bengal cricket team during a match in the same season.
- At the age of 20, he worked at Kharagpur Railway Station as a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) in Midnapore, West Bengal from sports quota. There he worked from 2001 to 2003. He was from a middle class so; he had to start earning bread of his own.
- In 2001, he missed a chance to play in the Duleep Trophy for East Zone. Because the Bihar Cricket Association could not communicate with him regarding his joining the match. The joining letter remained stuck in Midnapore. He had to reach Agartala for the match and his team had already reached the venue. However, he managed to hire a car with the help of his friends to reach the Kolkata airport for the flight. But the car broke down in the middle of the highway so he missed the flight and match.
- During the 2002-03 session, he performed well in Ranji Trophy and Deodhar Trophy. In the Deodhar Trophy, he scored another century. From there he gets recognized.
- During the 2003-04 series of Zimbabwe and Kenya he performs well, and he marks his presence with 7 catches and stumps during the match against Zimbabwe’s XI. There got noticed Indian National Cricket Team caption Sourav Ganguly when he helped his team to defeat Pakistan A in back-to-back matches and he also scored half century and two centuries. It was the turning point of his career.
- Dhoni made his first century against Pakistan. He scored 148 runs in Vishakapatnam.
