They say Steve Jobs is their inspiration! Yes, nowadays parents are annoyed with their kids sticking to electronic gadgets.

But, here rather than how video games and computers work, inspired them to code!

Shravan and Sanjay, the two brothers were born in 1999 and 2001 respectively in Chennai, India. Like all other kids, they were interested in playing a lot of video games.

They were fascinated by graphics and animation, like each one of us. They used to use to doodle images, paint them on the desktop, etc.

Eventually, Shravan started to do PowerPoint presentations, and he used to show them in his school, and teachers used to get very impressed by his work. He was too young to do all of this.

Then both their parents saw their passion for computers. Then to let them know more about computers and desktops in general, their parents bought them their desktops, and they started to learn to code in QBasic.

Eventually, their dad started to teach them a few basic programming languages, and they started reading about them via books.

Then their dad gave them a video game, and they started playing it diligently. Their dad told them to just stop playing and use their coding knowledge to rather create games.

And that hit them and they started to make gaming apps. They started for the Android platform first afterward they went on to the iOS platform.

Shravan and Sanjay Kumaran made near about 150 test apps before releasing their 1^st ever app. Isn’t that great?

Then their first app (Catch Me Cop) without any marketing got near about 2000 downloads in the first 3 days. And not just that, they too achieved a 4.5 rating on the Apple app store. And that gave them a lot of thrust and confidence to continue doing it.

Then, they started making more apps and by 2014 they had around 60000 downloads in over 60 different countries.

The first problem they listed was typing. The other problem was the lack of time they had, unlike other entrepreneurs.

Sanjay, the younger brother, said that they were only allowed 1 hour to code because they had their studies and exams coming up frequently.

While starting their own company “Go Dimensions” they said that the first three letters indicate “GOD”!

The cute kids say “Our Office is just our bedroom!” Though we laugh at this innocence, they are quite passionate about what they do.

They said, “I, Shravan am the President and younger one, Sanjay is the CEO, our mom is the inspector, our dad is the Chairman.”

They want to study at IIT Bombay. And that is their personal goal. Their professional goal is to make their own company “Go Dimensions” a billion-dollar venture.

And give their profit’s 15 percent to charity. Also, they emphasized that they want 50 percent of the smartphones in India to have their apps running in the upcoming years.

Do Shravan Kumaran and Sanjay Kumaran Have a Normal Life?

The interviewer, in a humorous way, asked them about, Do they get bullied in school since they had achieved so much in life right from their childhood.

They funnily said that earlier they used to get a lot of attention from their peers and friends as such, but now everything is normal.

The Typical Daily Life of Shravan Kumaran and Sanjay Kumaran

After waking up and going to school, they come back and study for about 2 hours they program for 1 hour and play for about 1 hour and the rest day consists of all normal activities.

One thing to note is what the elder one said that other kids use their computers for Facebook, Twitter, etc. rather they use them to program and for their future.

But their focus on that single hour of work is commendable. This is what we need to learn about quality over quantity.

These two kids are inspirational for this generation and for others to come. A lot of parents these days are worried about their kid’s future as the kids spend most of their time on social media.
